Meet Our Founder

Pastor Wallace Mwale lost both parents at a young age. Left as a double orphan, he was terribly mistreated, physically abused, and went days without a meal. When he made mistakes he was chased from the home and spent many nights in a pit latrine toilet for shelter.

He shares that one of the hardest experiences as an orphan is having no one to comfort you when you are sick, scared, or hurting. As just a young boy, Pastor Wallace felt unloved, useless, and insignificant to the world. By God's grace, he heard the Gospel. He accepted the message and placed his faith and trust in our loving Savior.

Wallace has used his life story to start Divine Hope Orphan Advocates. He has a heart for vulnerable and orphaned children and understands their physical, mental, and spiritual needs. He is married to his wife Bertha and they have 5 beautiful children.

Our Mission

Uniting

Our primary goal is to keep families together. When a vulnerable family is identified, DHOA comes alongside the family to support and provide for the family. Rather than sponsoring just a child, our goal is to partner with the family for a favorable outcome.

 Sponsor a family today!

Protecting

We protect orphaned children and widows by uniting them to create a family. Each orphaned child is loved and cared for by their house mama. We provide a temporary home until a more permanent, secure home is found. While in our care, each child and widow is provided with their daily needs and a home full of love.

Equipping

Young adults are shepherd into adulthood, equipping them to live out their God-given potential. As they grow, children are given the opportunity to learn useful trades for gainful employment. With your generous donation we can purchase better curriculum and supplies.
