Breaking Ground!

Divine Hope Orphan Advocates is breaking ground on the Discipleship Hall! We praise God for the generosity of His saints as not only our generous donor has been matched, but funds have come in to begin our Discipleship Hall! We thank you and praise God for your generous donations! You are partnering with us to provide hope and a future for children in Zambia.

What is this Discipleship Hall going to be used for?

Discipleship, according to the Bible, is shown in Acts 2: 42-47

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.  All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

God willing, this large gathering hall will be used to gather the community to share the Word of God, gather for prayer, and enjoy fellowship. At least once a week it will be used for sharing a meal and feeding the widows and orphans. The hall will be used as a place to share burdens and needs and to gain support. It will be a place for children to play together, especially in the rainy season. We believe it will be a place where tears, laughter, and praises are shared. We pray that God will add to the number daily, of those who are saved.

What will it look like?

It will be a large hall with tables and chairs that can be moved about.  To provide the weekly feeding, there will be a kitchen with plumbing inside and outside of the hall. To ensure proper hygiene, there will be 2 bathrooms. Wallace and Bertha will have an office for administration purposes.

How long will it take to build?

Unlike in America, the teams of workers who commit to the job stay at DHOA until the job is complete. Each team works hard and long days. Therefore it is estimated to be complete in a few months.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support! Below are pictures and videos of the beginning phases!

This is a VERY exciting time for Divine Hope Orphan Advocates! We will keep you updated as we continue to progress!
